Exactly what I said about support.

But as live555 refuse to act like an open source project, we have no
choices left.
We've tried asking nicely, asking less nicely, threatening. But nothing
changes.
So we can either fork or drop it.

Once VLC stop using live555, I think many distributions will just drop
it. But I doubt they understand that.
