That's what I thought as well, until I noticed this above it........  It
appears to be writing fine to the frontend and then for some reason it's
tearing down the module.

It's the latest dvb driver from the cvs.  I haven't checked for
"/dev/ost/frontend" yet - I'm at work at the moment.

Seems like your OS is not able to open the device.

Which dvb driver is running on your box ?

Did you check that you have a /dev/ost/frontend ?
