Streaming VCDs

Hello,
      Can anyone please tell me the procedure to stream a VCD with vls ?
A sample input.cfg if possible. I have ver 0.4.0 on linux and compiled without dvd support.
I tried setting file to /mnt/cdrom/mpegav/avseq01.dat and type as Mpeg1-PS
but it did not work. I copied it to the disk and that didn't work either.
I am able to play it using the client and it reports the format to be PS.

Please this is urgent.
