[streaming] Question about VLC tunning in multiple cores servers

Hi all, Currently I'll install VLC for streaming realtime TV Channels, I receive DVB signal, for sintonize, transcode to FLV and Streaming over HTTP protocol to multiples users. My question is about the performance o tunning the VLC, this instance is running over HP 585 G5 Server, this have 24GB RAM and 4x4 Opteron 64bits CPUs (16 Cores in total) Any have any sugestion, for tunning the VLC instalation for work better in this Big Server? In this Box running Centos 5.2 64bits version and VLC download from Dag RPM Repository.
