[streaming] Video gets stuck for RTP over RTSP streaming to VLC

Hi All,
          Please find the scenario below for RTP over RTSP streaming to 
VLC player
--> We are currently streaming 720p video (MPEG-4 and H264) along with 
G711 to VLC player  using RTP over RTSP
       multiple unicast. Input stream bitrate is 3 Mbps.
--> Video playback is fine at both the players but after two hours video 
gets stuck at the second client.
--> Audio continues to play at both the clients.
--> Server continues to stream video and there is no reduction in throughput
--> At the stuck client the following warning messages are observed
      main warning: late picture skipped
--> CPU utilization at the client side is less than 50%.

--> This is not observed for RTP over UDP streaming for the same scenario.
--> This is not observed for video only RTP over RTSP streaming to VLC 
player for the same input bitstream.

Does anyone know the reason for this?
Please suggest some ideas.
