[streaming] Packet Loss Recovery for Streaming Video

Hi everyone,
I would know how VLC recover from packet loss in a UDP stream.
Exactly, if one frame video or a part of it is lost during trasmission,
how VLC build that frame?Is it replaced with the next or previous frame?
