Multimedia APIs

Hi,
I felt inspired to write another multimedia document of limited
utility:
  http://home.pcisys.net/~melanson/codecs/multimedia-api.txt
In this one, I am documenting the programming interfaces used to pass data
through binary modules. This is useful when writing third party programs
to exploit the interfaces. Perhaps more importantly, such knowledge
provides a starting point for reverse engineering efforts.

So far, the document discusses Rad Game Tools' Smacker and Bink
DLLs. Has anyone tried to get these modules to work under Linux/Wine? The
audio portion appears particularly tricky as the DLLs wish to pump the
decoded audio data directly out through DirectSound.

I'm hoping to document the VfW, ACM, DirectShow, DMO, and QT Win32
interfaces as well. Any others I should touch on?

	Thanks...
