May I ask what the final result was? As to the codec detecting the wrong OS...there are three players, win3.1, win95, and winnt. Check the http://www.moviecd.com web site. Even though the win95 player installs mvicod32.dll, it also installs mvicodec.dll and mvicod16.dll. I suspect that mvicodec.dll is called which detects the os and loads the appropriate 16bit/32bit version of the .dll. A sort of win3.1/win95 hybrid player. I was unaware of the attempt to load glide.dll. I'll check that the player installs this library. I do get sound when using xine and/or microsoft media player (crossxover plugin). Doesn't seem to need the acm.dll. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Oracle 10g Get certified on the hottest thing ever to hit the market...
