mpeg2 frames size

Hi at all.
With xine is it possible to know how long the frames are, from a DVD for 
example?
I'm trying to develop a system for know the time spended in the decoding
process, and the tie decoding-time/frame-size(KB), for their correlation.
I know there isn't a direct correlation: big frame, long time of 
decoding..., but at
the moment there aren't detailed study about that,  and since i have 
experience with
Xine, i'd like to develop one of this study.
