On DVDs the "Progressive frame flag" is next to useless, for historic reasons. So, does anyone know of an automated way to discover if a PAL DVD contains film content (frames) or TV content (interlaced fields) I am not asking about 3:2 pulldown in NTSC because that it easy to detect using repeat first field flags. I am only concerned about PAL.
