I have used the 1.2.2 tarball. But I can see a similar fix in the hg repository
which is not totally correct. It changes CFLAGS instead of CPPFLAGS and
./configure complains about the headers are present and accepted by GCC
but not the preprocessor that way. My version makes ./configure not complain.
