Yeah, the latter inst easy these days, at least for normal folks.
After the industry failed to get legislation that forces registration
chips into every PC years ago, they now strike with sealed "smart"
hardware to lock out free (and privacy compliant) software :-/

Just uploaded something that also fixes a regression I introduced
earlier (I hope, it was a rare freeze).

I have not figured out yet wheather my rwlock conftest is interfered
by m4/locks.m4. At least here, support is detected properly.

Otherwise, it builds and runs fine here @ x86 64 and 32.
After all those "optimizations", xine does not feel like xine
anymore (fast start/seek, smooth playback, no more cutting off
beginnings and ends, ...) ;-)
