Glad to hear that :-)

On the worst of my test systems, I got 9 inputs for 7 buttons in the
panel, and 6 in the playlist editor window. So just removing "test"
would not be enough there.

Actually, it is at the end of the skin defined list of buttons. The skin
just tells the first one, plus the count and the graphical direction the
remaining buttons should go.

The default (and very ancient) "xinetic" skin wants the panel input
buttons from right to left for some reason, pushing ... to the very left.
