Hi all, I wonder how to set a certain buffer for the video playback. I noticed that there are two entries in the config file that might relate to that. engine.buffers.video_num_buffers (default 500) engine.buffers.video_num_frames (default 15) While the second one seems to be logical, the first one isn't really clear for me. What's the unit of 500... Kilobyte? I am doing some experiments on HTTP-based streaming and would like to set the buffering of the player to 3 seconds. When using a framerate of 30, I would need to set the parameter video_num_frames to 90? What about the first parameter? For my investigations also some statistics would be nice: - number of dropped frames (late frames) - status of the buffer (percentage, seconds or bytes) I haven't figured out which commandline parameters I should use.
