how to see information about the file currently being played by xine

Hi,

Is there a way to write a script that can tell the full name of the
file currently being played by xine? And if it is possible - what is
the current time / total time of the played file.

p.s. doing 'ps aux | grep xine' shows the currently playing file ONLY
if xine was started with it as an argument (e.g command line or gui
/*coz it evokes the cmd line :)*/. If you start a movie via 'open'
inside xine - it doesn't show anything).
