Hello, I have the Xorg composite extension enabled to enjoy things like transluency with KDE, I do not use an OpenGL window manager, Beryl or similar, just plain KDE 3.5.7. Now, when I start kaffeine to play a video file the whole X server crashes. Not just kaffeine, the whole X server gets killed immediately. The only message at syslog is "kdm[7543]: X server for display :0 terminated unexpectedly" I does not matter what output driver I use with xine/kaffeine, xv or xshm, the X server crashed immediately. Since I can reproduce this behaviour I am sure it has to do with the composite extension. When disabled, everything is fine. Is this a known issue? Any workaround available? I don't wanna drop composite because I like these nice desktop effects ;-) Thanx System: openSUSE 10.3 (32 Bit) Xorg 7.2 nVidia 6200 based AGP card latest nVidia proprietary driver (169.12) kaffeine 0.8.5 xine-lib 1.1.10.1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
