They are indeed files.
 To wit:
$ pwd
/usr/lib/xine/plugins/1.1.10
$ ls -l xineplug_dmx_image.so xineplug_dmx_mpeg_elem.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 5044 2008-03-07 06:42 xineplug_dmx_image.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 5688 2008-02-26 02:16 xineplug_dmx_mpeg_elem.so

And I attached the logfile in a seperate
message, but the listserver said that it is awaiting list admin
approval due to msg size.
