Can Xine lib do this: (single step, source aided trick play, ...)

Don't know if these are user or developer questions, I'll try here
first: (We're working with MPEG transport streams as the input
material.) Missing features need to be implemented, please help me where
to look.

- single step: Can we single step forward frame by frame through a
stream? I've experimented with a pause command within the frame output
callback, but the result is not accurate.

- "free running decode": The source (outside of Xine) will assist trick
modes (FF/FR) by spitting out only parts of the stream, which contain
I-frames. Due to packetization, there may be some heading or trailing
garbage of neighbor frames. Xine now needs a mode to display these
frames as they come in, regardless of the timestamps which may jump
forwards or backwards.

- PAT/PMT passing to application: the application needs this
information, somehow we have to funnel these out of the TS demux.

Thanks for any pointers.
