Dear all, Playing a DVD using xine shows a double image (side by side) within the same display screen. I have the following xine and dvd related rpms installed on my FC7: dvdrip-0.98.8-2.fc7 dvd+rw-tools-7.0-3.fc7 gxine-0.5.11-14.fc7 libdvdcss-1.2.9-2.fc7 libdvdnav-4.1.1-3.fc7 libdvdread-0.9.7-3.fc7 lsdvd-0.16-5.fc7 xine-0.99.5-1.fc7 xine-lib-1.1.11.1-1.fc7.2 xine-lib-arts-1.1.11.1-1.fc7.2 xine-lib-extras-1.1.11.1-1.fc7.2 xine-lib-moles-1.1.11.1-1.fc7 xine-plugin-1.0-3.fc7 xine-skins-1.10-1.fc The are the ones that are available via the repos I am using for yum install and yum update: fedora.repo fedora-updates.repo freshrpms.repo atrpms.repo Even though I am aware that many xine related libs have a more recent release, such as xine-lib-1.1.12...etc, They are not on the repos I use with yum, and I am loath to installing them manually from sites which are not well known fedora repos. However, I "DID" remove all my xine rpms, and installed all the xine libs that are of 1.1.12 release vintage. It did not help. I am still getting double image. This problem is not occuring with Kaffeine nor Ogle. Ogle still has a problem in that when the intro is over, the menu is displayed on the viewing screen to play the movie, ...etc. If I click on "Play Video" within the display screen, it does not play the video. Fast forwarding from the control panel does not have any effect - it remains displaying the menu commands to Play Video among others. But I digress... Sorry. I will submit this problem to the Ogle users list. Has anyone else gotten the split screen with xine? If so, what did you do to resolve it?
