Issue solved, someone gave me a hint. It was not a Xine, not a hardware
issue. It was the video file itself. It had a resolution of 683:512 and
683 is not a multiple of 16 and this can cause trouble to some video
players. Mplayer did not have this trouble, Xine has.
I have no recoded this video to 688:512, both values are multiples of 16
and now: smooth playback again!
So, if anyone sees the messages above ("throwing..."), or if you have
bad performance, check if the resolution of your video is a multiple of
16, if not, recode and the problem might be gone.
