audio delay

Hi All,
For some reason when I am playing a DVD-Video on my
system, the visual movements on the mouths do not line
up with the spoken work.
On SMPlayer (an MPlayer front end), I push the minus
button (audio delay) twice, for a total of 0.2 seconds,
the mouths and spoken work line back up.
I am not finding this option in Xine. I am hoping
it is right under my nose and I just missed it. Any
ideas?
