Hello,

recently I noticed that xine-lib-based audio players (like amarok or kaffeine)
seem to use more cpu time than for example VLC. It sometimes is more than 10%
in comparisson to VLC. Also the quality of mp3-playback seems to be lower
(sound diversity, some frequencies are skipped) than the quality of VLC. I
tested this on different machines with different soundcards. Has somebody made
similar experiences?

Best regards
Gero
