hi, i'am trying to control the size of the input buffer of a mp3 stream. in order to do this i changed the value of engine.buffers.audio_num_buffers to from the default 230 to 460. i expected the number of *used* buffers to rise (i added some traces), but with both values the number of used buffers is around 180. i suppose engine.buffers.audio_num_buffers is the number of pre-allocated buffers, but the number of buffers actually used depends on other factors. my question is if there is a way to tell xine to *use* a certain amount of buffer for caching input? the setup i use is xine-lib 1.1.15 on a Linux 2.6.27 box best regards ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SF.Net email is Sponsored by MIX09, March 18-20, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
