Easiest should be the postprocessing chain; it should be equivalent to
gui.deinterlace_plugin (as it would be in gxine were the option also visible
via the prefs window).

video.output.xv_deinterlace_method is deprecated, and will be missing if
you're using the xine-lib development branch.
