xine-ui configure error (lib=1.1.16.3)

Hi All,

I have compiled xine lib just fine (version 1.1.16.3) and have installed it
to /usr/local

I then tried to compile xine-ui, but it fails the ./configure stage with
this error:

I have un-installed the distro's version (aptitude remove xine xine-ui
libxine etc)
I can not see any old versions in /usr/bin or /usr/lib so I don't know where
it is getting an old version from.

I have run ldconfig and it does have an entry for /usr/local/lib

Any Ideas?
