control xine from numpad

Hello everybody,

I am trying to find information on how to setup the keymap
so that xine can be controlled from a USB numpad.

I expected that the numpad would be treated as a regular
keyboard by xine, but apparently it is not the case.

Does some one know how to map numpad keys ?
I am trying something, but non of the things I tried worked.
I have looked on the web and could not find anything
