hello Grant,

i tried Petri Hintukainen's two patches yesterday with xine-vdpau (release 279). i had to adapt some rejects.
then i tested a sample of my sony camcorder (avchd/m2ts) and it worked suprisingly realy fine! (first!)

my constallation:

xineliboutput-1.0.4 (a vdr frontend, which uses the xine-lib features)
xine-lib 1.1.x (vdpau) = xine-vdpau (r279) with the above mentioned patches from Petri (thanks a lot to him).

i used the media-player, which is integrated in xineliboutput (just to mention: the media-player does not recognize
the file extension ".m2ts" - i had to rename the file into - for example - ".avi" first).

after switching between different camcorder samples, replaying get corrupted and the output stopped with
these messages in syslog:

maybe my system's (it's ubuntu intrepid) X-version is to old (i have to activate "-DLOCKDISPLAY" in
src/video_out/video_out_vdpau.c" (xine-vdpau) to get normal output). it could be possible that i have to
deactivate this CFLAG option and update my X accordingly (to a version > 1.2.1) ??
