Xine can't play FIFO

Hi,

I want to feed any .mp3 file to Xine through FIFO. Thus, I wrote an
application which reads an .mp3 file and sends the data to a FIFO. Another
application creates an Xine stream and passes the FIFO name to xine_open().
But each time it gives me the following error: 
 XINE_ERROR_NO_DEMUX_PLUGIN 

Any help is appreciated.
