xine-based video converter?

Hi all !

Does anybody know about any xine-based software which allows me to save the 
decoded video in another format, in other words: a xine-based video converter?

The reason: I have some old (10 years) video clips, digitalized from an analog 
camcorder and saved using some weird mjpeg dialect. Unfortunaltely, no 
software is able to correctly play (mplayer,vlc) or read these clips, except - 
xine :-).

Well, xine constantly tells me that bytes are skipped during decoding, and the 
video clip is at half height, probably due to some deinterlacing problems, but 
that is not an issue - upscaling should work.

However, all linux-based vidoe editors / converters I know of  (avidemux, 
kdenlive, kino, cinelerra, openshot) just fail loading these clips, or the 
result is not useable.

So I need a program which uses xine for decoding and is able to save the video 
using a "clean" format.

Any Ideas ? Or do I have to code it myself ?
