Hi, I've been looking through the code of the OpenGL video output plugin in Xine, since I was planning on creating an application that uses OpenGL but also displays (sometimes small, sometimes large) videos. Unfortunately, what I want to do doesn't seem to be possible using the OpenGL output plugin: have Xine decode the video into a texture rather than into an entire window. As I understand the code (xine 1.1.19), it looks like a texture is generated, but that texture is displayed by the plugin unconditionally. How hard would it be to create the possibility to have the libxine-using application set up the GL environment and decide where the animated texture needs to be displayed?
