OSX 10.5 xvid build problem

Hello -

	After updating the MacbookPro (Intel Mac) from OSX 10.4 to 10.5 the
	new linker is giving this error when building xvid:

  L: libxvidcore.4.dylib
  ld: absolute addressing (perhaps -mdynamic-no-pic) used in _calc_cbp_mmx from bitstream/x86_asm/cbp_mmx.o not allowed in slidable image
  collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
  gmake: *** [libxvidcore.4.dylib] Error 1

	I am not an assembly coder but the error seems to saying that there is
	a problem using non-PIC code to build a shared library.

	Anyone else trying to build on OSX 10.5 with a Intel based Mac?  If so
	is there a fix/workaround for the problem?
