by the way is there such a thing xvid file format? if there is, is there a documentation on this that i can find.. coz right now i am going to make video out of the decoded frames...

Well, I only wrote a decoder until now, so I didn't have to deal with container formats yet. For your video conferencing application, you do not strictly need to use an existing container format. As I tried to explain earlier, *you* control the network traffic, so you can invent your own container format, unless you want to follow an existing standard for video conferencing (I don't know anything about those).

However, this mailing list is about xvid encoding and decoing, and container formats or application design is outside the scope of this list. Even if I would have the time, I don't currently have the knowledge or experience to help your any further. Sorry.
