xvid_init - my source UPGRADE

Hi,
I was using xvid_init(...); from an old version of xvidcor (v 0.9.1).
now i compile and build the libxvidcore.lib from xvidcore v1.2.1, but
there is not xvid_init
I read ChangeLog and ChangeLog-1.0 files but i can not how to replace
it and what is newest function.
Could your help me please?
