Re: Options of XviD-Codec in combination with MPlayer/MEncoder?

Hi,

do a "man mplayer" and you will have all the options for encoding xvid 
with mencoder.

according to the man, it should be :

# mencoder -ovc xvidenc -xvidencopts 
pass=1;bitrate=1000;me_quality=6....


but in my mencoder, "xvidenc" isn't recognized, only -ovc lavc 
-xvidencopts...


How did you manage to build mencoder with xvid 1.0 ?

at the end of the configure script, i get this error :

L: libxvidcore.a
ranlib: file: libxvidcore.a(timer.o) has no symbols
L: libxvidcore.4.dylib

and mplayer/mencoder doesn't recognize Xvid...
