I don't know. I just installed XviD 1.0.0 beta as I did with XviD 0.9.2
("# ./configure; make; su; make install"). And then I followed the
instruction of Corey Hickey <[email protected]> in the MPlayer User's
Mailing List, which told me to use CVS version of MPlayer.
That's all, I downloaded CVS code (2003-12-03), run configure and I've
been reported xvid support. Compilation and usage gave proove that it
functions.
Oh, I see! This subject wasn't on this mailing list yet. Sorry, I didn't
recognize this fact, I got confused with all the MLs I joined and
participated today. The solution has been reported in MPlayer's Users
Mailing List.
XviD Codec libraries have been changed, MPlayer and AviFile can't
recognize the new ones. as far as I understand.
Please try above solution and report error or success!
Greetings and good luck, Stephen D. Leedle
