xvid.ax error

Dear reader,

while trying to watch an avi-file, I ran into an error called xvid.ax. I use 
the latest version of Xvid. Two things I was wondering about this problem, 
are: is it fixable and is it a known error? If you need anymore information 
about this error from me, I would be pleased to help you out.
