How to bypass assembler

Hi All,
    I'm using xvid version 1.0.0 on VC++ platform.
    I want to skip all assembler files, which are used for optimisation.
    Please suggest me necessary changes, so that I can skip the custom build
    for different assembler files. I'm want to skip X86-asm.
