color channels mixed up?

I'm using xvid_encraw on some pgms I made, it doesn't read the height
and width for some reason, but if i give it the parameters with -w and
-h it seems to encode just fine, the only problem is when I watch the
movie file back it's tinted green with a big splotch of red in it, and
there are some horizontal lines too.  Any ideas what this is, maybe
some color channels are mixed up or something?  I've seen this before
with some other images I have tried to use.  I'm not passing it
anything special right now besides the width and height, just -asm and
different quality levels.
