we have a video transcoding platform, and i'm trying to integrate XVid
encoding into our AVI writer.

i can create AVI videos with the XVid codec, but i'd like to programmically
create the XVid parameters (that gets stuck into the AVICOMPRESSIONOPTIONS
structure), rather than using the settings dialog. we need to be able to
automate the AVI encoding without any user interaction.

the DivX parameters are stored in a human-readable command-line format and
can be generated via code, but the XVid parameters are just serialized data
without any obvious format.

does anyone know of any documentation that describes how to generate these
XVid parameters?

thanks for your help,
Kirk
