A few days ago Jessie announced a new video capture card of his company
Hawell Technology on the v4l mailinglist. Hawell Technology has
specialized in surveillance products. Their cards come with software to
monitor several cameras in parallel and record some of the streams in
MPEG 4 to harddisk.

To find the files containing XviD code, go to
http://www.cctvhowell.com/en/download.asp and download the "Ti 8.35E",
"M4 7.11-E1" and "BCT 1.10" RAR archives. Run unrar and do a
find -type f -print0 | xargs -0 grep 'derived from the GNU GPL XviD codec'

Then go to http://www.cctvhowell.com/en/yanshi.asp .
The first two "PLAY" buttons will lead to pages that (in Windows) download
different ActiveX plugins http://hawell.8800.org:8080/hawell.cab and
http://hawell.8800.org:8080/long.cab (first one is 404 today).
Using cabextract on these files results in CDFlyDragonVision.ocx and
FDVision.ocx. These files contain the XviD message as well.

Apart from that, it sounds like the "linux card" Jessie announced will
be sold with a complete binary only mini Linux distribution. But that is
just speculation..

For all of our cards, we are unable to offer sourcecode.For M4 series, if
you want to revise or add function to the software, and you have q'ty reach
to 100pcs, we can do that for you ,Regarding TI cards, we can offer SDK, but
not sourcecode. I think none of supplier for DVR card would like to provide
sourcecode to his customer .
