liblinphone WAV file requirements

Hi all, I want to play WAV files with liblinphone. With linphonecsh this works very well: linphonecsh soundcard use files && linphonecsh dial xxxxxx && linphonecsh generic 'play my-audiofile.wav' Now I need some details about the requirements for the WAV files. The WAV files I am currently playing for testing have sampling rates between 8 and 44.1 kHz and bitrates between 128 and 705 bps. This allows the WAV files to be played without any problems. Can anyone tell me what range of values is officially recommended here?
