Or you are not using the localpart syntax required by your SIP/telco
bridge.  If you don't have a bridge service, they are paid.

I think linphone offers something.  Can someone confirm?

I use diamondcard.us for outgoing SIP->telco calls.  They are a penny a
minute.  It's like $10/mo to get a number for incoming calls.
