casting the remote party video/audio stream to a chromecast

I am using Linphone raw SDK on Linux/Raspberry and would like to cast the remote party video/audio to my Chromecast to be displayed on TV.
What about using tshark/wireshark to extract the remote party video/audio stream and send it to VLC so that VLC can cast the content towards a chromecast ? Would that work ? Did anyone succeed to do so ?

Any other idea ?
