I should also have emphasized that I was seeking linphone-desktop,
rather than the plain linphone-cli which is indeed in testing.

Checking that page, linphone-desktop is missing. I generally prefer CLI
programs, but in this case the desktop gui is useful and does not tie up 
an xterm or whatever. Perhaps I mght get used to the cli version.

I imagine that the desktop was omitted when testing was going through a
hiatus with QT...
