Help: Sip Proxy Forking

Hye !

I would like to work on a project which includes a sip forking proxy and 
elements like a database and things like that.
In fact is it possible to work on forking methods with the nist sip stack.?
If someone has yet tried to work on this topic please let me know i would 
appreciate it.
