softphones that implement reinvite

Hi, I'm using 3pcc to set up a call between phones. I'm testing primarily with linphone and the old nist sip-communicator, but running into problems. For eg, linphone declines invites that dont have an SDP, and sip-communicator responds with a "trying" for the second INVITE request. I've made sure to use the dialog to create the second invite as mentioned in the FAQ. It looks to me to be a problem with the phone's implementation. Are there any softphones that you folks know of that reliably implement re-invite?
