Thanks for your gracious acknowledgement and thanks for your help.

I made a mistake. The RI jar file name is JainSipRi1.2.jar  henceforth. 
The API file is called JainSip1.2Api.jar ( as before ).

 The best reward for one's work is not just pay but to see the work get 
used . Bitter experiences from previous lives where work got paid for 
and tossed are not satisfying memories. I spent the money  and dont have 
the work to show for  so it was a pointless exercise :-)

 Pitch in folks -- examples, extensions, bug reports, bug fixes, and 
wiki "how to" writeups are welcome. We can make this  the best free java 
stack around with your help. If you are a student, thats a great way to 
get your name known. I am gradually building up examples and I'd really 
like a few more. Here are some specific example suggestions:

1. Authentication call flow ( I have a volunteer for this -- Kathleen  ).
2. Third party call control -- the different scenarios  in the 3PCC RFC 
( I have a volunteer for this too - Kathleen ).
3. Multi proxy (trapezoid) routing through multiple proxy servers. This 
is quite simple so a good example to contribute if you want to learn the 
API. (no volutneer yet).
4. PUBLISH (finish example - Man-chi ?). 

Rule of thumb -- only volunteer for what you think you can  finish / 
maintain. (  The JCP is strewn with unfinished JSR's :-) which is highly 
irresponsible IMO. )

More ambitious suggestions include :

1. Support for the Replaces mechanism in the Dialog layer RFC 3891
2. DNS SRV record lookup
3. Make jain-sip-presence-proxy a real high performance proxy like Ser ( 
well at least as much as java will tolerate) -- I am willing to share 
ownership of this project as my current co-owner is inactive.

I have also started looking at the JAIN-SIP 1.2 resource adapter for the 
SLEE as a way of  evolving the JSIP RA specification.

Any one of the above can make very good undergraduate level final year 
projects and would be a great way to put your abilities on display. If 
you want to contribute there, send me mail. I can work with you on these 
things.

Let us know what you are doing with JAIN-SIP 1.2  (if you wish)  and let 
us know where you want it to go next ( ah... not to the bit bucket I 
hope :-) ).
