You have your answer right there in the trace. You are missing the 
Oswego library in your classpath.

If you are trying to build an Applet, consider using java 5 and 
replacing all the Oswego concurrenct library calls with equivalent and 
very similar functionality that is part of java5. You should also 
consider removing the dependency on log4j by editing the file 
(LogWriter.java). Make the logger.debug logger.info etc use System.out 
(or whatever the eqivalent thing is for applets -- I forget ).
