NIST SIP - Re-Registration, who handles it ?

Hi All,
          I wanted to know , whether the Application has to take care
of Re-Registration, Re-Subscription etc, after the initial
Registration/Subscription , or is there any facility available withing
the NIST Sip stack for the same ?
