Hello all, I was thinking that this is worth mentioning on this mailing list: After about a year of development the SIP Communicator project, a SIP soft phone and a multi protocol instant messenger, has finally made its very first 1.0-alpha1 release (end of December). The release includes support for SIP calls (still unstable but getting better by the day), Jabber, ICQ and MSN. More details available on http://sip-communicator.org The collaboration between the SIP Communicator and the NIST SIP projects, goes a loooooong way back (back in 2003, the first versions of SIP Communicator were actually one of the usage examples in the stack) and it has always been a pleasure! I wanted to express the gratitude of all our team to all those who have been contributing to the nist-sip project! We owe a lot to you and the quality of the stack! I would also like to send my very special thanks to Ranga, who has always been there whenever we had any questions or matters to discuss! Ranga, you've always been the best advisor one could be and it's always been a pleasure working with you! Thank you for your contributions to the community and keep up your excellent work! Cheers Emil
